Tag Rugby Tournament

On Friday 24th February, Class Estuary participated in a tag rugby festival at Westbury On Seven following our 6 week training with the Gloucestershire rugby coaches.

We entered 2 teams into the tournament, with both teams playing exceptionally well and team 1 even winning the whole tournament! Miss Bramley couldn’t have been prouder with the fantastic attitude and team work that Class Estuary demonstrated throughout the day, and we can’t think of a better way to represent Huntley C of E Primary school.

A huge congratulations to one of our children to be selected for showing extreme rugby skills, but also profound teamwork and sportsmanship; winning himself a lovely trophy.

We were lucky enough to leave with our winning signed rugby ball from all of the Gloucester rugby team (which is now in display on our achievements shelf in the hall), but also flags, certificates and free class tickets to a Gloucester rugby match!! The children were lucky enough to be awarded with their prizes and have signed autographs from Paddy McAllister.

Thank you so much to Mrs Mason for coming with us and looking after team 2, and for all of the parents who helped us with lifts and supported us throughout the day, it wouldn’t have been possible without you all!

Well done Class Estuary, what an achievement and what a brilliant day to be part of!
