Cheltenham Literature Fesival & The Wilson visit
Today Classes Estuary and Ocean had an inspiring day out to Cheltenham to see Emma Carroll speak about her new book 'Escape to the River Sea'. She told us about her inspirations and writing journey, read extracts from the book and described characters. Maia even went on stage to ask her a question! After the talk Emma signed our school copies of 'Letters from a Lighthouse'. It was exciting to meet her.
After lunch, we walked the short distance to The Wilson Museum and Art gallery where we enjoyed a pattern finding trail in an inspiring gallery of objects and images that were over 100 years old! We were also very lucky to explore, through sketching, some other artefacts from the museum and touch them (wearing gloves of course)!
