Morning

The school day begins at 8.45am. Children in Class Stream come to the playground from 8.40am where they will be met by a member of staff before lining up to begin their day. Classes River, Estuary & Ocean can arrive at their classrooms from 8.40am.

The day begins with registration, children also make their lunch selection at the start of the day.

Collective Worship 

On Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays & Thursdays collective worship takes place in the school hall at 10.10am, Fridays at 9.00 am we hold celebration worship where all the children come together to celebrate special achievements from throughout the week.

Break

From 11:00am to 11.15am the children have break time. Children are welcome to have a slice of toast from the toast bar at break time. Class Stream can have half a slice at 10p and Class River, Estuary & Ocean can have a whole slice at 20p. All money raised by the toast bar is sent to The Educational Frontier Trust to sponsor a child to attend school in Maina. Currently, we are about to finish sponsoring Margaret who has just started her second year at Kisima and writes to us regularly to update us.  

All children in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 will also be offered a piece of fruit. Children are also able to have milk at break time. This can be ordered via Coolmilk.

Lunch

Lunchtime runs from 12.15pm to 1.15pm. At 12.15pm Class Stream & children having hot dinners will have lunch in the hall. The other children will eat in their classrooms.  At 12.45pm we all go to playground together.  This changes in the summer term when we have a picnic outside for all those having sandwiches. 

The end of the day

School finishes at 3.15pm. Children can be collected from:

Class Stream & Ocean at the blue door.

Class River & Estuary from the classroom doors.
