Henry Moore art project and exhibition
In Class Estuary we have been exploring the WW2 artwork of Henry Moore. He was commissioned to capture scenes in the tube tunnels in London during the Blitz, and worked using wax crayon and water colour. We used his wax resist techniques to copy some of his work. We have been learning about human proportion, tunnel perspective and abstract figures. We created a final sculpture piece as a class, copying one of his most famous wartime images. Our work was exhibited for parents where we shared our projects and artist knowledge.
