Only 2 weeks into the school year and Class River have been very busy already!

We have begun developing our knowledge of place value in Maths and have been exploring Virginia Ironside’s story ‘The Huge Bag of Worries’ to inspire our writing.

We have also trialled some different printing techniques inspired by Andy Warhol; created a river to learn river features; voted in school elections and appointed year 3 council representatives; begun our swimming and forest school sessions and had our 1^st ukulele lesson!

The children have been fantastic - and very enthusiastic - settling into new routines and (for some) a new class. We are all set for a busy term ahead!
